I did my weekly 2 1/2 hour long run this morning. The temperature was 40 when I left home. The headwind I had last week was gone, and it was a nice day to be out. I felt fine during the first half, but my feet were tired during the last half, and I walked the last two miles to avoid any possibility of an injury.
My wakeup HR was 49.
Hello there,
ReplyDeletekenny here, Im 17 and lives in SIngapore, a country in the South East Asia region, near the equator. I have been reading your blog for some time and have been 'captivated' by your passion for running. I myself am a runner, though not a really good one, running around 13 miles(20.4km) 4 days a week. I hope to continue to run throughout my life till the day I drop dead!
Lastly, I do hope that you would be able to achieve your goal of breaking the 2hours in the half-marathon. Happy training!
Hi Kenny, thanks for visiting my blog and taking time to say "hello". It's great that you're running at a young age! I didn't start until I was 38.
ReplyDeleteHere is my favorite article on running without injury. It was the first article I read about running, and it has been my guide since then.
