The running & walking experiences of an 86 year old man. I used to run and walk alone, but now I walk with my wife, although I sometimes go walking alone. My overall goal is to reach age 100 and still be walking for my long and medium walks. I enjoy my walks, especially those with my wife, although I miss going long distance.

Sleep and rest days are great for an old man
My wakeup heart rate was 55 this morning. I slept well last night, and feel great this morning. Looks like I'm recovering from my strenuous day yesterday.
My only heart problem is my heart beats become a bit erratic when I haven't had enough sleep for several days. My beats are nice and steady when I get enough sleep. No hypertension problems. My BP is around 115/70.
Good to hear that. Always monitor your vital signs and know your body before exercise. Do you have any heart problems or hypertension?
