A tired run which I aborted

I started on my 2.4 mile run during the morning, but I was tired, and I aborted the run after 1.5 miles. My wakeup pulse rate has been high for several days, and I can tell when I do my pre-run stretches that my energy level is low.

  1. What does it mean when one's wake up pulse rate is higher (or lower)? I know that overall a lower pulse means you're in better shape, but does fluctuation mean anything in particular?

  2. Good question, BB. Daily fluctuations are important. Here is a page where I discuss this and give a link to a graph of my wakeup heart rate over a number of weeks.
