The running & walking experiences of an 86 year old man. I used to run and walk alone, but now I walk with my wife, although I sometimes go walking alone. My overall goal is to reach age 100 and still be walking for my long and medium walks. I enjoy my walks, especially those with my wife, although I miss going long distance.

Ran the 2.75 miles again
My wakeup heart rate was 62. I ate some food about 1 1/2 hours before I ran, but I should have had the food earlier, because during my run my stomach wasn't feeling very good. During the last 1/2 mile, me stomach felt fine, and I was able to run longer stretches before I walked. The temperature was in the mid 50s (F), and it was a nice Fall day with lots of sun and some clouds.

I was not able to run my 5K last weekend as I had the wrong day on my schedule, but in honor of my training, I decided to push myself harder and farther than I ever have and I ran 63 minutes...Probably somewhere around 6 miles.
ReplyDeleteThank you as always for this blog. Oh, and I love hearing about the coots and the "pip". We love onomatopoeia in language.
Congrats, Jennifer, on your 63 minutes. Now, take it easy for a couple of days while your body recovers.
ReplyDeleteIf you click on the wildlife label, you'll get links to all of my sightings of animals and birds. Since I run in a protected area, I do see quite a few animals and birds for a desert area.
I think that your blog absolutely fantastic. If you update these types of post then your blog is best then others.
