The running & walking experiences of an 86 year old man. I used to run and walk alone, but now I walk with my wife, although I sometimes go walking alone. My overall goal is to reach age 100 and still be walking for my long and medium walks. I enjoy my walks, especially those with my wife, although I miss going long distance.

Ran 2.66 miles today -- nice run!
My wakeup heart rate was 54, and I felt great this morning, thanks to a good seven hours of sleep. I ran 2.66 miles on the southward segment of the Jordan River Parkway. The shade temperature was in the mid 70s (F) with a nice 5 mph breeze blowing. I drank 16 oz of water. A nice day!

My goals, Carnegie, are to run for enjoyment and let speed come automatically as my body gets stronger
ReplyDeleteAnd, to return my longer runs to 10 and 13 miles, the distances I had before I was attacked by blood clots a year and a half ago.
