The running & walking experiences of an 86 year old man. I used to run and walk alone, but now I walk with my wife, although I sometimes go walking alone. My overall goal is to reach age 100 and still be walking for my long and medium walks. I enjoy my walks, especially those with my wife, although I miss going long distance.

Not setting distance records, but I am running this week
I did another 0.6 mile again this afternoon. My legs have felt fine (still a bit stiff when I first get up but not bad) since my short run on Monday, and I'm expecting them to feel fine between now and Saturday.
Wanted to stop by and check out your progress and to say Hi. Sorry to hear after walking for 2 hours the other day you had some discomfort, but glad to see you got a little run in and that their was no pain, except the little aches and pains the next day, but they sound like they are a lot better, and you are on the mend.
I know taking 18 days off is hard, but you are doing the right thing. In time (hopefully soon), you will be out there running consistently again. But right now baby steps until you're 100%!!!
Thanks for stopping by, Joanne! I just posted about being on my feet for three hours yesterday with no noticeable effects afterwards. Things are looking good right now :)
